Best of the Best of 2014: Tablescapes

Hey guys!

I'm back today with my favorite detail - the Tablescape. The tablescape isn't just the centerpiece, although that is a vital part. It is everything on the table from the linens, to the place settings, to all of the little details.

1. Kirsten & Jordan - August 2014 - This was the year of the garland here at Finishing Touch and no one did it better than Kirsten & Jordan! 40 feet of high end blooms by Pigmint. Gold Chargers with simple ivory napkins and hand calligraphy place cards. And lets not forget about the chandeliers, greenery halos, & disco balls hanging above the table. The end. {And did I mention, we did ALL of this in 40 minutes during our Cocktail Hour flip?}

2. Kelsey & Collin - October 2014 - We named this wedding theme "Southern Sparkle" and we accomplished it perfectly with the gold chairs & chargers, silk linens, and oversized centerpieces by Pigmint dripping with crystals. This classic extravagance never goes out of style. And for a twist on the usual table setting, we tied the napkins in Love Knots and the silverware was slipped into the knot.

3. Tea' & Cornelius - May 2014 - This uber glamorous wedding at the Clinton Presidential Library boasted a variety of gorgeous table designs! The head table was crowned with 2 enormous round centerpieces for heights and a continuous runner of red blooms across the front of the table. It was finished with stemmed votives, clear glass chargers, silver satin napkins folded in cummerbund style, a lovely custom printed thank you note and much more. The round guest tables held 15 foot tall branches dripping with crystals and hanging floral pomanders. It was a truly stunning combination!

4. Rachel & Graham - May 2014 - This hanging centerpiece has been copied and copied and copied. And for good reason! We purchased a vintage orchard ladder from an antique shop and took it to genius floral designer, Pam Pemberton, at Flora in Fayetteville. She came up with a way to make our idea work, and made it even better than we imagined using incredible blooms and adding fairy lights for some whimsy. We finished this table design with rustic lanterns running down the table, lovely x-back Paris chairs, and an ivory napkin folded into a pocket and finished with a gold dipped feather at each place setting. It was beyond perfect.
