Meet Lydia & Josh!

Lydia & Josh are getting married on Saturday in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Josh's dad, the minister of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, will marry them in a beautiful ceremony in front of their closest family and friends.
Lydia has worked tirelessly on the design for her wedding, and has hired Finishing Touch to come in and coordinate the week of her wedding. We'll be there to make sure everything runs smoothly and her hard work pays off.

These sweet family photos were taken a few weeks ago by Blaire Perry, who will also shoot their wedding images this weekend...I cannot wait to see everything come together this weekend!

Thanks,
Rob & Nita Hawkins (parents of the bride)

4 days until Sarah & Robert tie the knot!

With their wedding drawing closer, I wanted to share the first sneak peak into Sarah & Robert's vintage southern wedding! Each bridesmaid will receive a vintage hankie to carry with them during the ceremony. I simply ordered the hankies on etsy.com, printed adorable tags, and tied them each with ribbon. I love these...
So sweet.

I love my brides & grooms! I just received this sweet thank you note from Tyler & Kevin who were married 2 months ago...

Jessica,
Words cannot describe how much we appreciate all of your hard work to make our wedding day such an amazing event. It was more than we ever imagined and are so thankful for everything that you did for us! It was so nice to have you to rely on for advice and ideas. Your creativity is amazing and you really made our small ideas come alive. It was such a joy working with you and your team. We know that our wedding day would not have been as amazingly perfect without all of your help. Thank you so much for everything. We will never forget how wonderful it was to work with Finishing Touch Event Design!
Sincerely,

Our Favorite 2010 Wedding Images....so far!

2010 has been our best year yet! I've been thinking back over all of the amazing brides and weddings and thought I'd do a post for all of you to see my favorites so far...

{FYI: Click on the bride and groom's names for a full gallery of their wedding}

January: Lauren & Ryan
The sweetest "first look" ever, captured by Eli Murray Photography.

February: Michelle & George
This culturally rich wedding was full of Assyrian and Greek traditions in honor of the groom and bride's (respectively) heritage. A belly dancer even entertained the guests during dinner! Photo by Melody-Hubbell Photography.

March: Ashley & John
Ashley cried when she walked into the ceremony space for the first time. She said it was so beautiful, it took her breath away. I happen to agree! Photo by Benfield Photography.

April: Marion & Clark
Marion wore her mother and grandmother's wedding gown and a veil that had been passed down in her family for over 200 years! This beautiful image shows this incredible heirloom off to its fullest. Photo by Benfield Photography.

April: Ashley & Chad
There were so many great images by Jamie Clayton to choose from, but this one makes me laugh. Ashley's bridesmaids fixing her make-up in the middle of the dance floor. I absolutely love it!

May: Tyler & Kevin
Melissa McCrotty captured some incredible moments in Tyler and Kevin's big day. But I adore this peaceful moment of the day just before they made their entrance into the reception. What a beautiful setting!

Our June and July weddings have been incredible so far! I cannot wait to get all of these images and share them with you. Stay posted for many more amazing weddings in 2010.

And than you to all of our brides, grooms, and their amazing families who have made this year so amazing. We love you all!

Sweetest Movie Wedding: A Walk to Remember

For the first time in years, I watched A Walk to Remember this weekend, and I had forgotten how utterly perfect the wedding was. It has to be the sweetest wedding in any movie. The expressions on the bride & groom's faces, the tiny chapel, the colorful wild flowers, the bride's heirloom dress and veil...
{Sorry for the poor quality! I took these of my TV after hours of searching the internet without luck}

I think I'm going to tear up again...

What great inspiration for a sweet, southern wedding?! It doesn't get much better than this. After all, what are wedding all about - love, family, and friends. And this one has them all.

Allison and Scott's wedding: 1 week from Today!

Allison and Scott will be married in Fayetteville on July 17th in a classically beautiful ceremony with a stunning, traditional reception following at the Town Center. We are stepping in to help with all the last minute details for week-of coordination, but Allison has been hard at work designing the wedding of her dreams.
She enlisted the help of Paper Designer extraordinaire, Amy Hannon of Sincerely Yours Paper to create a timeless invitation suite. And as always, Amy succeeded with flying colors!
I love the black and gray print layer. Absolutely gorgeous!

I'll post more details from their wedding after the big day from their incredible photographer, Jeremy Cavness. Stay tuned...
