Featured on Style Me Pretty!

Today, one of our favorite events of last year was featured on Style Me Pretty's Little Black Book Blog! Napa Valley here I come...

Hey everyone!
I'm hopping on a plane EARLY tomorrow morning and heading to Napa for an amazing bachelorette/spa weekend. One of my very best friends, Leslie, is getting married in June and I cannot wait to celebrate with her and our fabulous friends!
If you need me, I'll be checking my email daily and I'll be back in the office on Tuesday morning. Until then, be jealous...

Meet Ashley & John

We have been working with Ashley & John for months to plan their elegant, classic wedding at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in downtown Little Rock. They will be married in August, and I cannot wait for this sweet couple to say I Do! Until then, I wanted to share with you some of their beautiful engagement photos just taken on Sunday by the fabulously talented Melissa McCrotty.

Modern New York Wedding

This fabulous wedding, recently featured on Style Me Pretty, has so many incredible elements! I love the ghost chairs, the organic elements in the florals, and the unusual setting. Maybe it will inspire some of you...
While most of us can't afford to use ghost chairs throughout our reception, they add a great touch to a head table or lounge area!
For more photos from this gorgeous event, head over to Style Me Pretty now. Enjoy!

The new look of Finishing Touch

After the fabulous new blog design by Jen Gets Fancy launched last week, I really wanted our website to follow suit. I thought it was time to leave behind the dark, black & white color scheme and moving towards a softer style. My wonderful graphic designer, Rachel Silvestri of RB Graphic Design, worked tirelessly to update it quickly. She did a fantastic job giving it a softer style and updating the look of the entire site. It officially launched today!

Flower Fave: Anemone

Last year, I was obsessed with Ranunculus. This year, I can't get enough of delicate Anemone blooms! The thing I love about them so much is that they come in a wide variety of amazing colors, and that they can be used with any style, from ultra modern to a rustic garden wedding. See for yourselves...

My favorite anemone bouquet EVER, from my very own wedding photographers, Paul Johnson Photography:

An obvious fit for these blooms is in a modern wedding, especially the bold white flower with black centers:

These versatile blooms also work beautifully in a classic wedding design:

And even in a more rustic garden style arrangement {FYI this is my favorite arrangement in this post!}:
Wedding by Color
Wedding Window
Anemones are available in bold reds, purples, and blues...

And in softer shades of white and blush...

I predict that these bold, gorgeous blooms are going to be huge this year! And why shouldn't they be? They're absolutely stunning and add a punch to any floral arrangement!

Trendspotting: Painted Cakes

It doesn't get prettier than a hand painted wedding cake. These are some of my favorites!

Make sure, if you choose a design like these, that your wedding cake designer is an artist. These beautiful cakes require an artistic touch!
