Golden Globe Trendspotting: Long Sleeves

We should have seen it coming after Nicole Richie's amazing Marchesa wedding gown. Sleeves are back!

And in a big way if the Golden Globes fashion tells us anything. Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, and Leighton Miester all rocked gorgeous long sleeved frocks, and mark my words bridal style will soon follow!

Most of the designer sketches for Kate Middleton's wedding gown that have been made public have sleeves.
If she chooses this style for her wedding to Prince William, it will guarantee that this trend will continue with brides everywhere!

Other designers have created beautiful options that are right on trend. Monique Lhuillier (below, left) and Badgley Mischka (below, right) have done it absolutely beautifully! And they've proven that sleeves can be very sexy!

If you love this look, but can't commit to sleeves permanently, consider selecting a bolero to top your gown for the ceremony. It can be removed later to give you 2 different looks on your big day.

I absolutely love this more conservative look. It's wonderful to see a gown that steps outside of the strapless gown silhouette and gives brides another beautiful option for their wedding day. Sleeves can be sexy, classic, sheer, beaded....the options are unlimited!

Happy Shopping!
