Best of the Best of 2014: Bouquets

Hey everyone!!

We're ringing in the New Year and reflecting on the beauty we were a part of during 2014. What a blessing to be able to work with such amazing, creative, and kind clients! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Now for our best of the best! We'll begin today with my favorite bouquets in no particular order:

1. Rachel & Blake - June 2014 - Textural, southern bouquets by Jules Design. These beauties consist of Peonies, Garden Roses, Dahlias, Queen Anne's Lace, Viburnum, and more. These bouquets couldn't be more perfect with the bridesmaids gowns from Two Birds Bridesmaids (available locally at Tesori Bridal & Formal in Fayetteville)

2. Rachel & Graham - May 2014 - Loosely gathered bridesmaid bouquets by Flora were each different and were the perfect fit for this Horton Farms barn wedding. The ivory and gold tones beautifully complimented the varying shades of blue worn by the bridesmaids. These bouquets consisted of roses, peonies, sweet peas, and greenery.

3. Becca & Adam - March 2014 - This bouquet by Hudson Floral is the most structured on our list, but it still has some personality! I love the use of the more modern orchid and the modified round shape. Alex, the fabulous floral designer, created gorgeous texture using orchids, roses, tulips, sweet peas, ranunculus, hyacinth, garden roses, and greenery.

4. Kirsten & Jordan - August 2014 - This list wouldn't be complete without the work of art that was Kirsten's bouquet. This cascading masterpiece was created by Pigmint using garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, dahlias, and loads of greenery. The lovely bridesmaid bouquets used the same blooms but in a more traditional, round shape. The extra long trailing ribbons accenting the bridesmaid bouquets were a beautiful compliment to the shape of the bridal bouquet.

Sneak Peek: Erika & Chris

Hey everyone!

This past weekend we had the immense pleasure of working with Erika & Chris for their elegant, classic wedding at the Clinton Presidential Library. The Atlanta based couple enlisted Finishing Touch nearly a year ago to design their big day, and we worked very closely (via constant phone calls, texts, & emails, and just a few face to face meetings) to make it exactly what they wanted. The results are beautiful!

Hopefully we will have the professional photos to share with you soon, but for now, I have just a few detail shots for you taken by Finishing Touch's very own, Maggie...

Now, on to the reception...

Needless to say, it turned out beautifully! Sleek, sophisticated, and elegant. Now stay tuned, because I plan to share more from their professional photographer as soon as I have them! You don't want to miss it!

Shannon & Kirk: The Details

Hey everyone!

Shannon and Kirk were married last Saturday evening in Little Rock, Arkansas. They are a fun, lively couple who wanted to bring that element of their personalities into the wedding design and I think we achieved it very successfully! I am crazy about the fresh, summer color palette of turquoise, kiwi, and white. It makes me want to dive into a pool right this minute! Today, I'm sharing the details of their day as seen through the eyes of their photographer, Jason Crader. Enjoy...
Bridal bouquet of hydrangea, roses, parrot tulips, and ranunculus. Bridesmaid bouquet of hydrangeas and roses.
Tall centerpieces of hydrangeas, roses, orchids, & belles of ireland with calla lilies submerged in vase. Turquoise bengaline linens from Party Time Rentals.
Closer view of above centerpiece.
Small centerpieces of roses, hydrangea, tulips, & orchids atop turquoise bengaline linens from Party Time Rentals.
Cake by Mickey's Special Affairs with crystal monogram topper on Turquoise Dahlia overlay from BBJ Linens.
The ring shot.
Delicious dinner buffet from Catering Creations
Bridesmaid bouquets were repurposed on cocktail tables at the reception. Kiwi crinkle linens from Party Time Rentals.
A small bundle of fresh green calla lilies was placed in each window in the Ballroom at the Junior League of Little Rock.
Guests would wave ribbon wands as the bride & groom made their exit. Made by the bride herself!

There's much more to come! Tomorrow I'll share the ceremony & reception, and then the Portraits will follow on Wednesday. You don't want to miss it!

A big thank you to Jason Crader Photography for capturing the details beautifully!
