Lauren & Ryan's Vintage Wedding
Lauren and Ryan's amazing wedding has been featured on this blog several times over the past few weeks. (See here, here, and here.) We've been giving you a little taste of the incredible photos from Eli Murray Photography, and now you can see all of my favorites on our website. Usually I can easily narrow down my choices, but in this case I loved them all so much I had a very hard time cutting down the number!
Here are just a very few of my favorites:
The gown...
The bouquet...
My favorite image from their "first look"....
My favorite image from the wedding ceremony...
The first dance...
The party...and believe it or not, there was no alcohol served at this wedding!

Lauren & Ryan's Sneak Peak!
Our first wedding of 2010 was one for the books with incredible details and an amazing bride and groom with great style! Here's a fabulous sneak peak of their wedding photos from Eli Murray Photography...
Lauren's beautiful corseted lace gown came from Low's Bridal in Brinkley.
Her stunning bouquet was created by Finishing Touch and contained hydrangeas, French tulips, pink and peach garden roses, and sweet pea. It was wrapped in beautiful silk shantung and finished with a ruffle and antique cameo. The cameo was a gift from Ryan that will become an heirloom to be passed down to their children.
The ceremony took place at Sandstone Drive Church of Christ where the bride has been a member all her life. The custom aisle runner from I Do Originals was lined with rose petals cylinder vases filled with pillar candles and flowers. The room truly glowed!
The bride and groom made their exit in a shower of rose petals to their antique car and driver! It was the perfect ending to a perfect night!!

Train Station Engagement
I am crazy about this engagement session recently featured on the Wedding Chicks blog! It reminds me of that perfect old movie where the couple is saying goodbye at the train station and as the train is pulling away the man shouts out, "Will you marry me?" The perfect place for engagement photos...

Budget Wedding Tip: White Carnation Bouquet
Many women have something against carnations and I used to be one of them. Traditionally they were used in a very non-pretty way with lots of baby's breath and greenery. But today, there are some beautiful ways to use this inexpensive bloom for your wedding! This gorgeous bouquet was recently featured on Martha Stewart Weddings and I love it. The stark contrast of black and white is stunning and the pleated wrap is unique and incredible!

Budget Wedding Tip: Pizza Reception
This adorable rooftop wedding recently featured on Once Wed, has the right idea for planning a reception on a budget! Splurge on photography & save on food. They hosted a simple wedding with a casual reception where guests dined on a variety of fantastic pizza from a local pizzeria! Trust me, your guests will love it and you'll save a bundle on catering! For more photos from this sweet wedding, visit Once Wed's blog.
Dazzling Winter Wedding Cake
This dazzling wedding cake was the centerpiece of a wedding featured this week by Style Me Pretty. The sugared frosting makes it sparkle like fresh snow and the jingle bells are the perfect finishing touch!

Lauren & Ryan's First Look!
This is going to be the first of many posts about our first wedding of 2010! Lauren & Ryan's wedding was one for the books and I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you all. Thanks to their amazing photographer, Eli Murray, for getting their images edited so quickly, I already have a sneak peak of their First Look!
Not only are these a few of my favorite images from their first look, they are some of my favorites from all of our weddings! Great job Eli! To see more of Lauren & Ryan's first look, go to Eli's blog.
The first look is such a special moment for the bride and groom. Not only does it give you time to enjoy a quiet moment just the two of you, it also helps to calm your nerves before the wedding begins. Lauren was so nervous leading up to their first look, but after she saw Ryan, the nerves melted away and she was able to truly enjoy the beautiful ceremony.
Are you considering a First Look for your wedding day?
We used their antique get away car as the backdrop for their first look and the results are literally breathtaking!
