Braided Beauty

Hey everyone!

One of the few non-wedding blogs that I follow is Love, Maegan, a fashion and style blog to die for! She regularly posts about clothes, styling, accessories, and every day life and many of her posts can easily be applied to your wedding day style.
I'm a sucker for a braid! In fact, it's one of the few things I miss about my long hair, so when I saw this post I couldn't resist sharing it with you. It could flawlessly top off your wedding look if you're a more natural, southern girl who is perhaps having an outdoor or barn wedding. Enter, the waterfall braid....

Sweet Sweet Words

Hey everyone!

I just love getting thank you notes from our brides and grooms, and today I got the sweetest review from the new Mrs. Wells. Marissa & Tyler were married last month and we worked together for 18 months to make their big day absolutely perfect.

Jessica at Finishing Touch Event Design was the best decision we ever made. I know for a fact that I couldn't have planned our wedding without her. She allowed us to enjoy the engagement and wedding process without stress! The  "value for cost " rating should be a 20/5 because her services were absolutely priceless in our book. Not only was she very professional, but she became a friend. When I have an event that I need help planning, you better believe Jessica is my first phone call. I will and have recommended her to everyone that asks about our wedding. We have had nothing but excellent reviews on the whole wedding as well as our planner(s). If you only have room in your budget for one thing... make sure it's a wedding planner and Jessica is my pick!

Suzanne & Caleb are married!

It was an absolute honor to help plan the wedding of Suzanne Jansen & Caleb Yerton. I've known Caleb since he was born, so this was an especially touching wedding to be a part of. Caleb has grown into a wonderful man and I'm so happy that he found Suzanne, a sweet, caring, and beautiful woman. They were married on Friday night in Little Rock as family and friends celebrated with them. Hey everyone!

Today I want to share a beautiful Gold inspiration board from Camille Styles that has me completely smitten. I love this gilded, rich look.

When you're planning your wedding, there are so many little ways you can use greenery to make a big impact on your guests. For this Phoenix wedding recently seen on Style Me Pretty, the bride was able to really think outside of the box and chose some beautiful & unusually ways to incorporate greenery into her wedding design.

 

Have you ever seen a vase stuffed with moss before? I ADORE this look. It's soft and unusual. And I've always been crazy about napkin treatments. Using rosemary is a great way to use something different, bring in nature, and add a great fragrance to the tables as well.

Color Palette Inspiration: Bright Colors

I'm loving bright colors this summer! So many brides are hesitant to step outside of the neutral color schemes that they see most often, but there are so many fabulous options out there for you! Don't be afraid of color. This shoot, recently seen on Wedding Obsession, is a fantastic combination of fuchsia, yellow, orange, and blue that will really pop for a gorgeous summer wedding.

 I'm crazy about the thistle in the bouquet with the softer blooms. Its texture is absolutely fantastic!

5 Incredible Years

Today, I've been married for 5 years to a good and amazing man. And I love him more today than I did when we said "I do". We're lucky enough to be celebrating our 5th Anniversary in the beautiful place where we were married and I can't imagine anything better!
