Non-Alcoholic Cocktails

I'm in the middle of planning a January wedding which will serve no alcohol. I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with delicious and beautiful drinks for this couple to serve. Thank you Hostess with the Mostess for solving my problem! They are contributing the Simply Stated this month with this feature on non-alcoholic drinks for pregnant women, baby showers, and much more...

All of these drinks and MANY more are featured in the book Preggatinis by Natalie Bovis-Nelsen.
Even if you are serving alcohol, a beautiful non-alcoholic cocktail is a great addition. Non-drinkers and children will LOVE it!

Wedding on a game weekend...

While I was in Dallas last weekend cheering on the Hogs, many other wedding professionals were working. Here's a fabulous shot from Benfield Photography of the wedding party as they heard Arkansas beat Texas A&M...
Weddings on game weekends make my husband cranky, but this would definitely cheer him up a little! Check out Benfield's blog for more photos from this fabulous wedding.

Pretty Paper Lace

Paper Lace is a perfectly sweet addition to your wedding decor! Utterly Engaged used paper lace in their 3rd issue to create some beautifully wrapped packages for bridesmaid gifts.
I would love to see paper lace used as an embellishment for favors, wrapped around vases, and even used on invitations or programs. I am currently planning 2 weddings with lace as a central design them, and am so excited to use the paper lace!

To find lace for your wedding, try K&Company or Brookerpie's Etsy shop.
