Fabulously Theatrical Wedding

I am crazy about a theater wedding venue. It adds a wonderful sense of drama and anticipation to your ceremony.

There are many beautiful old theaters throughout the state. Just drive around any downtown and you're likely to find one...

Take a drive. You'll be surprised what you'll see that you never knew was there before! I recently discovered Second Street Live, a beautiful old theater in downtown Fort Smith. It's perfection for a theatrical wedding! There's also the Rep & Central Theater in downtown Little Rock. The possibilities are endless!

Alli & Ben: Ceremony & Reception!

Now for Alli & Ben's ceremony & reception! We'll start with some great images of the wedding party waiting for the limo to go to the chapel...
I love these photos because they're not the usual posed wedding party shots. They're natural and because they're natural you get a real sense of their personalities and excitement!

The reason we were blessed with this incredible wedding...Thorncrown Chapel.

Alli with her dad just before they walk down the aisle...

Alli & Ben created one of the most personal and touching ceremonies I've ever seen. My favorite part was the pinning of the tartans.
Representing their Scottish heritage, the mother of the groom pinned their family tartan on Alli, and the mother of the bride pinned their tartan on Ben. It was a beautiful representation of being welcomed into each others families.

On to the reception at the historic, Crescent Hotel...

Cocktail hour on the East Lawn...
As traditional Scottish music played in the background, guests enjoyed walnut Gorgonzola puffs and other delicious hors d'ourves along with Warm & Fuzzy Apple Cider (with alcohol) and Warm Apple Cider for the kids and non-drinkers. A wonderful idea for any fall wedding.

After cocktail hour, the guests proceeded into the Crystal Dining room where they were served a wonderful first course of salad and butternut squash soup. The entree was a duet of pecan encrusted salmon and filet with a side of fingerling potatoes and roasted asparagus. DELICIOUS.

The bride & groom's first dance...

As a wedding gift for Alli & Ben, Alli's friend & bridesmaid (also a singer/songwriter) wrote a song especially for them and performed it after dinner.
She is beyond talented!

Alli & Ben were honored with toasts by many of their friends and family...

Pearl Nation, from Springfield, Missouri, were absolutely incredible!
The dance floor was packed all night long. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a fun, entertaining band with loads of talent!

A huge thank you to Jason Hudson of Hudson Photography for the incredible images! You can head over to their blog for a few more shots of Alli & Ben. It was so hard to narrow it down to just these on the blog, so to see more of their absolutely beautiful photos, check out Alli & Ben's gallery on our website.
